Hoops Club Meeting Minutes

Introductions of Current Hoops Club Members

• Dawson, Chrissy, Kristina, Cheryl (not present), Gretchen (not present)

Coach Swann is not allowed to work with the players until 6/1/26 and after. 

Summer offerings

• Breakfast Club - very important, get updated on fundamentals we will be doing during the season, helps younger girls get prepared for high school play. Not required, but is being requested to bring the team to the next level. 
• Schedule available on website. M, T and Th
• Lynx Game Team outing for those that participate at a high level 
• MSHSL No-Contact Week: July 4-10
• Summer Shooting Camp: Mondays and select Wednesday evenings (free with Breakfast Club registration)
• Summer League: Wednesdays at Irondale (2 dates in June, 3 dates in July)
• total of 6 teams participating so far
• Hopefully 8 game guarantee
• Summer Team Building Opportunities 
• Potential July Team Camp - Hoops Club wants to help support 

Girls Youth Basketball Development Camp

• Coach Swann will run - players will be asked to participate in that
• Late June 
• More info to come soon. 

Booster Hub 

• Updated with what we know for next season 
• Games dates uploaded for Varsity and JV - subject to change 
• Primary source for all dates, volunteer opportunities, etc

Fundraising/Sponsorships

• Kowalskis fundraiser in April, 14 players and adults volunteered, ~$1000 earned
• Fundraising helps with team meals, team snacks, travel to away games/meals/lodging, and apparel purchases
• The more money we can fundraise, the less we will need to come to parents 
• Concessions remain a major revenue driver 
• Major fundraiser - MYAS Spring Series tournament - 6/6/26
• Volunteers needed! 
• At Irondale 
• Ask: everyone needs to fulfill a 2 hour shift 
• Brings in major funds for the season - hope to bring in $5000-$6000 this year 

Communications

• Emails will come from the Hoops Club weekly during the season
• A lot of the communication will be player-driven; they must pay attention and ask questions
• SafeTeam Communications
• Communication will go to player and parent at all times 
• Parents can see all responses and communications 

26-27 Season

• Look at getting more branded gear to the girls 
• Improving fan engagement and atmosphere 

Volunteer opportunities are always available.
